  From 1997 to 2000 with Superior Well Services. Responsibilities included Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Operation in all phases of Upper Devonian Well Services. Experience was gained operating all necessary equipment such as Frac pumps, Blenders, Combination units, Cement pumps, and some Wireline units. The knowledge gained while employed by SWS was invaluable and has greatly helped in my field development.

  From 2002 to 2010, as Field Superintendent for Keane Drilling, I was responsible for safe and efficient practices of (4) Service rigs and (2) Open Hole Frac spreads. Responsible for all location set ups, pipe correlations, notch and packer placement in respect to customer expectations as per well designs. Worked closely with customer representatives to enhance productivity, determining solutions to down hole issues during the job, well completions to suit customer expectations before production, and ensure that all support was in place to perform daily operations without delay (water, sand, logging and correlation units, proper completion packages, waste water disposal and equipment maintenance). Post job responsibilities included scheduling location departures with reclamations exceeding customer and DEP expectations, as well as some well hookups to production lines based on customer needs. Show less In December of 2000, I secured employment with Keane Drilling as a Rig hand / Operator. In a short period of time I acquired the necessary mechanical knowledge to begin operating a Service Rig. From 2001 into 2002, fracing shallow open hole wells in and around the Bradford, PA area, I was responsible for all operations of the rig and safety for a crew of three men. Duties included Rig Operation in all facets of both fracing and completions, reporting daily to Keane owners and customer Field Reps. Show less

  Drilling Superintendent

  From August 2010 to August of 2013, I held the position of Field Superintendent for Keane Group in the Marcellus / Utica Shale Development. In 2010, the focus of our company and major customers alike turned toward the Marcellus / Utica Shale Development and Keane Drilling, Inc. was acquired by an investment firm to form Keane Group. The major focus areas took my field experience to Tioga and Washington counties in PA. This change also required me to relocate to those areas on an as needed basis for a period of almost 3 years. Drilling primarily Top Hole sections for prospective wells, I was responsible for daily field operations, crew management in relation to safety and productivity, and development of new Safe Work Practices and Procedures as they pertain to continued operational efficiency in a new and growing environment. I was involved in the daily operation of (5) RD20 Drilling Rigs and (2) Schramm 200 Drilling Rigs to depths in excess of 7000’ installing Surface, Intermediate and Production casings. With close communications between Customer reps and Safety organizations (internal and external), we maintained ZERO lost time incidents as well as ZERO incidents involving danger to the environment under my direct supervision.   In September 2013 until September 2019, I was afforded the opportunity to join EQT Corp. in the Drilling sector as a Company Man (Consultant) through Upstream International, drilling wells in Southwestern Pa, Northwestern WV and Southeastern OH in the Appalachian Basin with a primary emphasis on Marcellus / Utica production. With a wide range of responsibilities beginning with Operational Safety transitioning to Drilling efficiency and productivity, all wells have been successfully drilled under budget and as per plan using Schramm 200 drilling rigs with ZERO personal injuries, environmental damage or unexpected operational delay. The vast majority of wells have been drilled using Air / Foam hammer or directional motor / Tri Cone practices, while others have involved water based fluid drilling with directional motors and PDC bits. Direct communications were steadily maintained with Engineering and Team Leaders, providing feedback throughout the Drilling, Casing and Cementing processes. Accurate and descriptive Daily reports were submitted through “WellView” in regards to all Drilling, Casing and Cementing operations in accordance with EQT expectations, as well as submission of requested information to State and local authorities. I was also part of a small team of individuals that handled Well head remediation, designs and changes. Show less
