  In my research I linked thirteen databases from The Central Bureau of Statistics to create a single dataset containing individual information about the population of Rotterdam. Thereafter, I developed and compared six supervised machine learning models, to predict future youth help services usage. I came up with a solution for unbalanced target values and applied an elaborate cross validation to all models to arrive at predictions that perform substantially better than existing models. The analyses and the linking of the data were performed using R. The results seem an important contribution to developing and justifying youth help programs.
