      Activities and Societies: Representative for Merrist Wood in the inter-college climbing competition. This Arboriculture Diploma was both a practical and academic course with practical modules ranging from the safe dismantling of trees using rigging equipment to professional standard reductions, specific to the species of the tree.       Whilst studying for my Extended Diploma, I joined ATS as a Groundsman, where I was soon trusted to manage the ground whilst the team leader was in the tree. As ATS was the contract holder for many Councils and the Royal Parks, we were almost always roadside which meant traffic management and the public’s safety was a paramount responsibility of mine.

      Working as a sub contractor for Bronze-leaf Group, we dealt with vegetation management for Network Rail. I had to gain my PTS (Personal Track Safety) certificate and understand the in depth risk assessments before being allowed to work on the railway. My roles would include rope access work around structures, carefully pruning/ felling trees away from the train line and dealing with the invasive Japanese Knotweed during live running times, track shut downs and night shifts.

      Looking to gain valuable hand’s on sales experience before starting university, I joined the Patrick Gardner Land & New Homes team over the summer months. I worked to increase sales for a range of developers with property values of up to £1.75m. My roles largely consisted of off plan selling over the phone and email, as well as selling in person via property tours. I would also create content and update PG’s social media platforms and online listings.
