  • Work with Business Team to gather Business Requirements, Analyze and translate them into technical requirements using the knowledge and experience of Webservices, JAVA/J2EE, SQL, XML, JSON• Design these requirements to develop new or enhance existing Webservices(WS) in EAI by documenting them into data flow diagram with technical specifications using tools like Visio, XML Spy & Microsoft Office Tools• Create WSDLs that provides an abstract of Application Programming Interface(API)s and list of XML schema files, headers & faults supporting each API defined in the WSDL• Create API Interface Document which provides information required to consume the API. Each elements’ description, syntax, construction and any special considerations are to be included• Create API Design Document that provides all the information necessary for a Developer to implement the interface, how and where to access a backend system and any special considerations• Create API Schema XSD using XML Spy tool for each interface that describes request and response elements, formats and validations of elements• Requires understanding of Webservices hosted in the Billing System to Webservices to create, update and retrieve information from the Billing System via Webservices hosted on the Billing System• Requires Database skills for detailing the queries involved in the functioning of Webservices and providing specifications on table structures, fields and their type for effective use of data, ensuring optimal performance of the system. Raise Issue tickets in HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Tool against the concerned Analyst if found • Prepare Test Cases (TCs) for Functional Testing and get it reviewed by the Analyst • Track the code drop tickets in JIRA, execute the TCs written for the same when the ticket is ready and update the ticket on completion of testing. • Raise Defect tickets against application Development Team for any issues identified during testing, follow up on previously created open tickets, test the fix provided for the ones which are in verify fix. Close the ticket after validation and see through the entire Defect Life Cycle. • Prepare Test Suites in SOAP UI, add data retrieval steps with appropriate SQL queries to obtain dynamic data by connecting the jdbc database servers, use property transfer to use these data while running the test cases, add assertions to validate the response. • Upload the SOAP UI automated test suits in the Bitbucket (Git-based source code repository) using Git Bash through Command Line Interface (CLI) commands for reuse/rerun of test cases at code level. • Check the transaction logs by logging to the UNIX servers using Unix Commands. • Testing JSON APIs of REST Architecture which managed in Apigee using Postman or SOAPUI. Use Kibana dashboard to access and monitor the transaction logs. • Use WinSCP to perform file transfers when required for Batch Job executions.
