      HOLMES 2 – a complex system to enable Police to run major incident enquiries and handle Casualty Bureau for major accidents. An important milestone in major investigations and disaster management. Software was accredited by PITO after successful pilot running and is used by all of the UK Police Forces. Test Manager with responsibility for System Testing all software releases and organisation of Acceptance Testing in conjunction with the PITO. Managed the Test Team for four years, during which time the product was accredited. Assisted the Development Teams by proposing and reviewing High Level Designs for enhancements and fault fixes.       Command & Control System used to handle all 999 calls in London. This is a complex “system of systems” with a legacy mainframe system for handling the response to incidents; a browser application with telephony to handle call receipt; address gazetteer; Graphical Information system; external interfaces to Police National Computer and other agencies. The systems are connected using Web Services and multiple xml interfaces.Lead analyst responsible for testing system functionality and interfaces to related systems. Developed a strategy for regression testing. Major project to add Contact Handling front end to C & C system with interfaces to new Graphical Information displays. This is associated with the development of multiple call centres for emergency and other calls. Major projects to add windows front end to legacy screens and then changes to comply with National Standards for Incident Reporting. Developed procedures for testing functionality of Special Operations Room control system used when major events take place in London. Involved in project to automate functional regression tests. Recognised as an expert on the functionality of the system and how to test it. Contributes to development of system by reviewing designs and suggesting enhancements. Show less
