Assisted aquarist with maintenance of tanks and displays by checking water qualities inside the tanks and inflow. Water quality and weather conditions were also tested daily though manual measurements on the Scripps Institution of Oceanography pier. As an aquarist assistant I cared for all seahorses and related families through husbandry in the nursery. Other organisms that were carefully monitored and feed were eels, fish, echinoids, and cephalopods. I also dove on SCUBA to upkeep aquarium tanks. My time as an Educator Volunteer required assistance in the classroom teaching children ranging from 5-16 years of age about various marine and climate topics including organism life history and ocean acidification. I designed and implemented interactive activities communicating marine science to the public in the gallery of the aquarium ranging from topics of shark diversity to the Great Pacific Trash Gyre.
