  I got my first job during the covid pandemic when visits to care homes were restricted leaving many of the elderly residents cut-off from the world. Therefore, the biggest role I played was that of a companion to the residents, listening to their stories, constantly checking in on them and keeping them active in order to prevent depression. Apart from this I also assisted them with their mobility, personal hygiene needs and administering of tropical medicines.

  I established an online retail store that imported and sold Uk brands in my home country Kenya. We gained growth and success in the opening months but in the long run the high costs of our supply chain and poor market performance made the business unsustainable. However, I believe the masters course I am currently pursuing will give me a better understanding of frontier markets and I am currently at the infancy stages of a new start up.

  During the summer of 2022 I undertook a media internship for the special olympics in Chile. This is a worldwide organisation that organises sports training and activities all year round for children with intellectual disabilities. I mainly created marketing campaigns for the organisation and inspirational content for the children.
