      My internship with Target included running a store of 100+ team members, as did my position later on. However, the most valuable training I got was from my HR mentor, who taught me the ins and outs of hiring, training, orientation, and the scheduling process. In addition to learning, I was able to put these things into practice for a full 10 weeks. Other skills: payroll, leading on the sales floor, branding, team building, conflict analysis, management, retail, guest service experience.

      As the Guest Experience and Sales Floor Executive, I was in charge of talent management that came into direct contact with each and every guest. I enjoyed the engagement with team members, the group efforts to collaborate on projects throughout the store, and the health and safety tools required for me to hold this position. Working with 5 team leaders and about 100 team members on a regular basis allowed me to partner with my peers and create a welcoming, on-trend environment that boosts sales for the industry. Most exhilarating was the food process change. While I established my role within my location, Target had decided to change the end to end process by creating a better system to provide food to the sales floor quickly and efficiently. In my particular location, food sales were over 23% of the profit mix, thus making the application quite the shift in mindset and physically for the team, my peers, and myself. Show less

I also assist with marketing those jobs and hiring events by partnering with our art director to create collateral in the form of flyers, social media images, and paid ads. I update hiring information on current collateral while coordinating with the clients’ brand standards, and brainstorm new designs for our art director to create templates for. Most recently, I’ve created LinkedIn marketing videos and revamped Indeed/Glassdoor Company Profiles for clients when rebranding is needed. Show less
