      In this line of work I served up to 60 people at a time, as a result working well under pressure was a necessity and through experience I have learned to be in control of myself in busy and demanding surroundings.I became confident in dealing with people from around the world and learned how the little things are important in great customer service, that it's not good enough to just meet a customers expectations, you need to improve on them. I also learned how to deal with any customer dissatisfaction that may arise and due to the nature of the work, I needed to communicate with different departments which tested and improved my communication skills.As I gained responsibility I took on more of a leadership role, helping to train in newer employees and overseeing functions. It was a great place to start my career where I learned the values of hard work and the world famous Irish hospitality. Show less

      In my role as a sales intern I supported a strategic account team with a major financial services customer. Reporting directly to the Global Account Manager and Lead Solution Architect I researched the industry trends in ICT outsourcing and managed services in the financial services industry.I gathered information by contacting internal account team managers and solution architects internationally in the same industry to see what solutions they are providing, what successes they have had and what challenges they've faced and then compared the findings to our team's account and generated new ideas and opportunities through discussion and further analysis. I also gathered information externally through social media, company websites and press releases, as well as analyzing white papers, publications and market research from consultancies and market researchers.The outcomes of my project included:- An industry maturity matrix (completed a week ahead of schedule) by which the customer could be easily compared and contrasted against its peers in terms of their level of maturity of key industry trends.- New contacts gained in the customer organization through both networking and research.- An increased understanding of the clients feelings and future ideas for key industry trends.- Added idea generation, opportunity creation and internal collaboration.- Personal development with 70+ hours of online courses, completion of the ITIL V3 Foundation Exam, networking with some brilliant business minds through both English and German, and the completion of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge (The world's biggest corporate run). From the first day training, when trainees must complete the Harvard stadium run within a time limit, I knew this job would be demanding.
