  Gorata joined Paledi Morrison Architects, one of Botswana's pioneering citizen-owned architectural firms, during a time of unprecedented infrastructural development in the country. She was exposed to managing cross disciplinary teams at this early stage in her career with duties transcending design development, technical documentation and contract supervision, to client liaison and product supplier relations.
