As a Senior Project Engineer, I've had the privilege of spearheading the development and upkeep of all Mitsubishi CNC software applications throughout my career. Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols was paramount, as it minimized operational errors and upheld system integrity. By engineering core logic for these applications, I significantly boosted functionality and reliability, resulting in marked improvements in overall system performance. My approach included meticulously crafting Project and Test Plans, which streamlined our development cycles and heightened software deployment efficiency. Introducing rigorous Quality Assurance measures proved instrumental; they preemptively addressed software defects, thereby reducing post-deployment issues. I also took great care in creating detailed User Manuals and training materials, facilitating seamless onboarding for end-users. Through providing personalized technical support and field training, I enhanced software adoption rates while effectively mitigating troubleshooting demands. Moreover, designing tailored software solutions tailored to user needs drove operational efficiency gains and bolstered client satisfaction. My key Contributions during this role are:• Developed critical logic for four Mitsubishi MTConnect Software Adapters, ensuring accurate reporting of over 50 CNC data items.• Designed and maintained CNC-related software applications as the sole developer, ensuring functionality and safety compliance.• Conducted over 1,000 QC tests per product/revision release to validate MTConnect Adapter performance and ensure reliable CNC data reporting.• Performed 500 to 2,000 individual Quality Control tests per released product to guarantee software reliability, functionality, and compliance with customer expectations.• Engineered logic for 15 Mitsubishi CNC Support Software applications, meeting performance requirements and optimizing functionality. Show less I led the development and implementation of Mitsubishi’s Magic64 Retrofit system and the latest Spindle Retrofit program, leveraging my expertise in CAD design and analog circuitry to create sheet metal frames, cabinets, and machine interface solutions. By streamlining manufacturing and installation processes, I enhanced efficiency—developing detailed Project Plans, maintaining inventory BOMs, procuring sheet metal components, and writing comprehensive Installation Manuals. I also provided accurate project quotes, ensuring seamless execution from design to deployment. Additionally, I architected and developed Mitsubishi CNC-focused software solutions and MTConnect Adapters, optimizing machine integration and operational performance. Through these efforts, I directly contributed to seamless automation, improved functionality, and a more efficient workflow for Mitsubishi’s CNC systems. My key Contributions during this role are:• Sole developer of two retrofit packages—Magic64 Retrofit System and a new "Bolt-in" style spindle retrofit system.• Led design, testing, implementation, installations, stock management, quoting, documentation, training, marketing, and product support.• Improved compliance and consistency as ISO Auditor, creating a 300-page Policies & Procedures manual for TSS.• Enhanced CNC modernization by standardizing bolt-in assemblies, improving efficiency and scalability• Developed a bolt-in Spindle Retrofit system, reducing costs and downtime by enabling in-house assembly.• Designed eight modular assemblies to replace 114 equipment combinations, streamlining retrofits. Show less Managed service for 30K machines across 13 states, collaborating with Machine Tool Builders and dealers to resolve technical issues.Developed a Visual Basic application using SAP data to enhance Regional Service reporting, leading to nationwide implementation.Maintained the highest Regional Service performance record for over 10 years, averaging 97–98% accuracy in parts shipments.Key Accounts - Mazak, DMG/Mori, Citizen, Kitamura, Daewoo, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Carrier, GE, Honda, Raytheon, Corning, Stanadyne, Alcon Surgical, Tyber Medical, Remington, Akebono, and many others.
