  Apprentice Gas Engineer
  Began my apprenticeship with a NVQ Level 3 in plumbing with aspirations to progress onto Gas qualifications. Assisting senior engineers on site gaining experience 'on the tools' carrying out works from boiler installations to full central heating upgrades. It was here i experienced my first taste of Health and Safety in practice and immediately saw how it could be improved.

  My main duties were to shadow Senior Consultants absorbing as much information from various meetings and sites visited. I was given specific duties and clients to then manage the logistics behind how every company could operate safely and legally. I began monitoring on site activities carrying out inspections, noise assessments, fire audits etc as well as developing internal documents such as H&S policies, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Memos etc for both small and large organisations. I was successful in getting many clients accreditation's such as CHAS, Construction Line, Safe Contractor etc opening their business up to a much larger market. Such clients and projects i was involved with varied from Electrician companies employing 30+ employees to the construction of £20,000,000 luxury homes within the St Georges Hill Estate. During this time i built my portfolio for my NVQ Level 4 in Health and Safety, which was successfully passed in 2011. Zobrazit méně

  During my time at Aston Cord i have been able to build a complete Health, Safety and Environmental management system which starts at the top and filters down through all levels of hierarchy within the company. This system undergoes various audits and is accredited on all aspects from Health and Safety to Quality management by the likes of ISO, CHAS, Gas Safe etc. This not only improved accident, incident and malpractice statistics but it has also enabled Aston Cord to Tender, Win and Manage much larger projects.Projects such as: 1. 300+ Economical boiler installations within the Hounslow Borough (CDM)2.
