  • Education

    • Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

      2004 - 2009
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Statistical physics, computational biology, Stochastic Processes
  • Experience

      Jun 2010 - Jun 2013
      Post-Doctoral Fellow

During my postdoctoral research, I worked on multiple research problems involving extensive computational modelling and statistical calculations. For example in a research published in Europhys. Lett, I constructed a physical model which was sufficient to explain experimental observation on wound healing. In this work, we have used Langevin dynamics simulation to simulate the model and Stochastic Calculus for analysis.

      Jul 2013 - Aug 2013
      Assistant Professor
    • CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE IN BASIC SCIENCES

      Sept 2013 - Dec 2018
      Assistant Professor (Inspire)

My work involved teaching M.Sc. students and guiding students for their summer and M.Sc. projects. The key topics which i taught here were linear algebra, numerical methods and computational modelling of biological systems. During this time I have published multiple research papers. More specifically, I would like to mention my work “Sufficient conditions for the additivity of stall forces generated by multiple filaments or motors” , which was highlighted by the editor in Physical Review.
