  Responsible for plan check as well as project management for a new tubular plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Facility is 75,000 sq.-ft., with a total budget in the low-to-mid double digit (millions) range, to be completed at the end of 2012. Using SOLIDWORKS and COSMOSWORKS, designed the Fiber-Reinforced-Polymer (FRP) and Reinforced-Polymer-Mortar-Pipe (RPMP) machining equipment for the company’s (revolutionary) non-round pipe manufacturing plant in Burkburnett, Texas. Responsible for the management of the project from concept, to installation, to commissioning for production.Wrote the operations, troubleshooting and maintenance manuals for the new equipment and production lines in Burkburnett, Texas, and trained the operating personnelDuring the process of installing the new line, also proposed, redesigned and successfully implemented changes of older equipment for better integration with the new manufacturing line.. Show less Using advanced mathematical techniques developed the company Classical Laminate-Plate Theory (CLT) models to be used in the design of new composite wall structures and all related applications.Developed calculation methods and programs for complex temperature-pressure profiles in multi-phase (gas-water-oil) flow in FRP tubulars. Developed the verification program, and validated results. Method is applicable to oilfield pipelines including artificial lift design.To complement the flow calculation tools above, developed the company’s calculation methods for FRP specific oil-well casing design. Developed the pilot RPMP product manufacturing and test program. Created new-product specific calculations methods and programs for the evaluation of the results from pilot manufacturing and testing.Investigated pilot level operational problems for corrections and smooth transition to full scale production.Provided technical assistance to the sales and marketing team in promoting the non-round pipe products to the City of Los Angeles. Through direct interface with the City of LA personnel, had major contribution in obtaining the product approval from the City.Responsible for structural analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for most of the department’s projects for new pipe/tubular equipment and plants. Performed numerous failure analyses of pipeline installations most notably for a submerged oil pipeline in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, the 12-foot diameter pre-stressed concrete water main pipeline in Libya, and more. Show less Using MathCAD®, developed the company’s calculation methods and programs/workbooks for FRP piping in above-ground, buried and subsea installation conditions. Using the CEASAR-II pipeline FEA software verified and qualified the new methods and programs.Trained engineering and sales personnel in using the newly developed programs. Based on these workbooks wrote the corresponding engineering design manuals.Developed and proposed new methods for advanced, cost saving anchor design for buried pipelines. Show less

Main responsibilities of this position are to supervise the equipment design team, and project management of the company’s worldwide new installations and/or facilities upgrade projects. Typical project is green-field to full commissioning, with a budget of $10M-$45M.
