  Working as a Park Ranger with San Diego County required me to open, close, maintain, clean, and patrol the 85-acre lake. On any given weekend or holiday, we would service the lake by assisting visitors with permits, boat rentals, and fishing tools. Keeping the park clean was a high priority. We cleaned hundreds of pounds of trash, and cleaned restrooms, the bait shop, and the dock. It was our job to help visitors and make sure that our reservoir rules were being followed. I addressed mischief which included, inappropriate behavior, addressing graffiti, and parking violations. This work required me to coordinate with park patrons, volunteers, law enforcement, transients, maintenance workers, and other County staff to guarantee that parks were safe, clean, and accessible.
