Conduct fire and evacuation drills.Responsible for the designation of a Fire Warden for each floor, and sufficient Deputy Wardens for each tenancy in accordance with Fire Department rules. Responsible for a daily check for the availability of the Fire Warden and Deputy Fire Wardens, and see that up-to-date organization charts are posted.Notify the owner of the building when any designated individual is neglecting his responsibilities contained in the Fire Safety Plan. In the event of a fire, shall report to the Fire Command Station to supervise, provide for and coordinate:· Conducted inspection of Standpipe System, Sprinkler System and Fire Command Station.· Also conducted inspection of fire extinguishers on a monthly basis to ensure that the suppression system was in working order.· Insure that the Fire Department has been notified of any fire or fire alarm.· Manning of the Fire Command Station.· Direction of evacuating procedures as provided in the Fire Safety Plan.· Report on conditions on fire floor for information of Fire Department on their arrival.· Advise the Fire Department chief in charge of the operation of the Fire Command Station.· Responsible for the safety of all occupants in office high-rise.· Supervisor at 4 Times Square; Attended Meetings; Did Payroll. Ensure that a proper Certificate of Fitness is found on the premises.Ensure that all log books are up to date and being kept current. Inspect standpipe / sprinkler system are working properly or under air pressure.Promoted to the LPPA Unit – Level II:Inspect businesses for overcrowding and fire hazards. Ensure that blueprints match the existing layout of the establishment. Ensure that all exit doors are unblocked, unlocked and with fully illuminated working exit signs.
