The database was designed to generate drawing numbers based on search criteria for SITE CODE, SITE or BUILDING NUMBER, FLOOR LEVEL, BS1192 Part 5 Category codes. The database was used across a multi-site defence sector environment and generated CREATION and REVISION forms and DRAWING ISSUED sheets.Gavin collated a standard set of site plans and utilities layouts for the 26 sites from existing disparate electronic and hard copy sources.Gavin collated a standard set of floorplans for the buildings for the Estate.   As Group Manager Gavin had financial management responsibility of a 7 person Property Consultancy.One of the major projects was to support QinetiQ in its application to the HSE for a licence to store and process explosives across the MoD owned Test and Evaluation portfolio. This project included managing Ordnance Survey data for 120sq.km of MoD land and applications for over 250 licensed facilities across the UK.

  Gavin undertook a complete review of the Statutory Maintenance operations including Electrical testing of licensed buildings, Insurance inspections of Industrial doors, LEV's, Lifting Gear, Safety Harnesses, Aircraft Static Ground Connections and Lightning Protection systems.Gavin developed A DETAILED TECHNICAL PROPOSAL to implement a Graphical Information system using AutoCAD Map and Autodesk Map Guide to introduce Ordnance Survey Master Map across the portfolio.
