  I develop training video series, interactive learning packages and VR for remote study and for use in immersive suites. I also assist with technical support for medical simulation, practicals and assessments. Based in Therapeutic Arts, I provided technical support to students and staff across the college. A specialist in video and photography, I provided tutorials in various software including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut Pro, ranging from basic to advanced. I also assisted students on the art, dance, music and drama pathways with their video, audio and music work. The art pathway included painting, sculpture, casting, photography, video and print work.

  Channelling my spare-time creativity and technical know-how to help my wife build Sense of Calm is extremely rewarding.Sense of Calm will provide a relaxing, sensory and inclusive space for parents and children aged 0-3. As the Covid-19 pandemic brings stress to so many, my wife and I wanted to create a window of calm for babies, toddlers and their parents, guardians and carers, providing the personal use of a sensory area to stop and relax, to inspire and to bond. As well as being comforting and calming, research has shown that sensory play starting and using sensory toys at an early age can build a baby's cognitive skills & brain development. Not only that, it can improve alertness and awareness. It is a wonderful bonding activity to do with your child.My wife will be running the in-person sessions, while I provide graphics and marketing support outside of my full time job as a Technician at the University of Derby. It's something we're both passionate about and I can't wait to see the benefits that the Sense of Calm sessions will provide.I have mobility issues due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and my wife has an innate understanding of the issues I face, so she is bringing her understanding of accessibility to the planning and implementation of the Sense of Calm sessions. Her consideration of single parents, disabled parents, and those with mental health challenges is great to see. She's building a service that meets the needs of the community when people need it the most and I'm so glad to be a part of it.Sense of Calm's accessible and inclusive sensory experiences will enrich so many families. To see my wife thriving in her pursuit to de-stress and create socialising opportunities for parents and their children is amazing to see. We have very different skills, so between us we can achieve incredible things for the betterment of others. I can't wait to see how things evolve. Show less
