      Managed a diverse team of 14 safety technicians in the program compliance of 14 Naval Occupational Safety and Health Programs. • Worked with departmental supervisors, shipyard officials and contractors to perform inspections and risk assessments to develop safe and productive work processes. • Preformed inspections on over 2500 shipboard compartments during the commands shipyard availability to identify and eliminate safety hazards. • Conducted safety committee meetings with divisional representatives to discuss safety issues and develop practical solutions to increase the safety posture within the command. • Trained 78 divisional safety technicians in the performance of their duties in regards to their respective divisions. • Developed, assigned, and maintained 100% accountability of technical training designed to promote safety awareness. • Performed asbestos identification on bulkhead lagging and deck tile samples as well as bulk air samples for asbestos, lead and hexavalent chromium. • Inspected all scaffolding construction for OSHA compliance. • Managed the Hazardous Material, Hearing Conservation, Sight Conservation, and Personal Protective Equipment programs for the command as well as monitoring the command wide training of each program for over 3000 personnel. • Observed and enforced safety standards on the flight deck ensuring the safety of over 250 personnel during 2,616 launch and 2,298 recovery operations resulting in 100% safety rating.
