  Math, History, and Science Teacher

  My first year I taught 6th grade Math, Science, and Accelerated Reading. I continued to teach 6th grade Math for another 3 years. I was then asked to move up to 7th grade Pre-Algebra and Math for 2 years. My last 2 years I taught World and US History in an effort to eventually teach Government. My own children needed me back in our community and devoting more time to their lives.

  I began teaching Algebra 1 for 2 years to assist students challenged by Math. I was given the opportunity to teach Business (my favorite) and Technology. I currently teach Accounting, Business Law, Entrepreneurship and Management Essentials. I have secured 3 successful grants for laptops, 1 Ipad, and a classroom whiteboard. I procured a state-of-the-art accounting teaching program and access to an authentic online accounting business software, and incorporated the Dave Ramsey Foundations in Personal Finance Course for our kids. I am seeking all beneficial partnerships with local, national, and international industry . Now in my 7th year of teaching Accounting, we have gone totally digital. We begin with Google sheets for our financial statements and move to Quick Books before we close out the course. My classroom for all my classes is designed to mirror on a small scale the University trend of more online classes. My kids must be prepared for what they will face after high school. I am the facilitator for our AP level Advanced Entrepreneurship program, INCubatoredu@oshs. It is the first of it's kind in Mississippi, but I hope to change that. Nothing is too good for our kids!
