      Voluntary work experience involved with the restoration of aircraft exhibits at the museum alongside the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Effective time-managment and organisation required to ensure components were manufactured in a timely manner and ready for display. The exhibits ranged from ex-military fast jets, such as the Sea Harrier and Hawk T1, to ex-commercial aircraft, such as the De Havilland Comet and the Jetstream 31.

      Potential Officer Visit

      The 4-day experience week gave a hollistic view of the Fleet Air Arm at RNAS Yeovilton and reaffirmed my decision to apply as a pilot in the Royal Navy. The experience allowed us to visit a range of squadrons based at the airbase and provided the opportunity to look at all aspects of life in the FAA; including flying, safety, fitness, all aspects of aircraft maintenance, as well as the social life on the base. This experience taught me about methods of leadership and how to apply them, as well as life in a regimented and disciplined environment. Show less

This side of the role involvedwriting the club's risk assessments and carrying out the British Rowing Safety Audit.These are critical documentation for the running of the club. Aside from the role, Idid the club's applications for the ATA Carnet documentation and Goods MovementReferences (GMR) for the club's Easter Camp in Brive, France.
