      I spent 3 years as a full-time PhD Student and Assistant Lecturer at University of Granada. I lectured on Construction Methodologies and developed an original and independent research work focused on the evaluation and testing of new construction materials obtained from industrial by-products (e.g. biomass fly ash). The results of my research were published in the most prestigious global scientific journals within the field (see publications). I was invited to speak at international conferences in Paris, Vienna and Edinburgh and I was awarded a very competitive ‘Talentia’ scholarship for postgraduate studies to complete an 8-month long research fellowship at Imperial College London in 2012.
