  I started as a first year apprentice totally green. $4.00 per hr and worked my butt off. After 2 years I got my own truck, learned all phases of electric, commercial industrial and some residential. While Going to school at night. My boss was one of the hardest people in the industry to work for, you had no choice but to learn and be confident and strong. He was German old school there was times I wanted to kill him and or quit but I didn't I hung in there finished school and passed the electrical license exam now NJ LIC#10356 .I learned about life , how people think, how confidence makes you a more desirable choice in the market today, be fair when pricing and really listen to what someone wants. If it doesn't sound right offer a suggestion and information if you have it to steer the customer in the right direction, they will appreciate it in the long run. Don't be afraid to try new things and new technologies the world is changing all the time you have to stay fresh and current or you will be left behind. I owe a lot to Mr Hoyt for making me believe I can do anything if I put my mind to it. We all had our moments with him but no one who has had the pleasure will forget him. Show less
