  I qualified as a Solicitor after articles with Russell and Russell, Chester. Shortly after qualifying as a duty solicitor I moved to Manchester and joined Burton's. Currently I am the firms Police Station and Magistrates Department Supervisor and nominated COLP. I also have a busy criminal and regulatory case load. Alongside management responsibilities, I still have caseloads of both magistrates, crown court cases and disciplinary/regulatory hearings for professionals. I still regularly attend police stations to offer advice.The majority of my defence work centres around professional discipline and private defence work with various Insurance Companies and advising various professional bodies and individuals regarding all aspects of the Criminal Justice System. I undertake criminal defence work for various Police Federations throughout the North West and Wales including West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Humberside, North Wales, Lancashire and West Midlands.I have also provided advice and represented professionals including Accountants, Barristers, Solicitors and doctors. I often receive referrals from members of my profession to represent their family and friends.I take a keen interest in Business Development and how to take my practice forward, always willing to adapt to the changing trends of defence work.Outside of work I enjoy playing veteran level rugby, going to the gym and spending time with my wife and two sons. I have completed numerous half and full marathons and my next aim is to complete a trialthon. I am an active member of Preston Grasshoppers Rugby, Manager of the u13 team and a member of the Lancashire Disciplinary Panel. Show less
