Requiring a knowledge of seismic surveys and training in the acoustic monitoring of cetaceans, the use of PAMGuard software and PAM equipment and remote desktop software in order to be able to advise on mitigation actions complying with area specific legislation.An extensive use of data analysis software is involved to record data and keep accurate records of the marine mammal detections and to produce reports for clients. A high level of understanding is required of the different vocalisation characteristics of marine species, as well as a basic understanding of underwater acoustics.Trouble shooting of software, hardware and network problems including satellite connectivity is also required.
