Positioning LAN/ WAN hardware solutions based on requirements, budgetary constraints and future expansion.• In July 1990, was promoted to Sales Executive and underwent a one month training on both micro and mini computers, marketing techniques and customer servicing.       My role was to carry out international trade in steel, non-ferrous metals, automotive components, industrial machinery, commodities, textiles and handling of projects and achieved the following :• Established steel division through developing of exports against tender from SAIL to Japan, China and Korea. • Developed exports of steel products (HR Coils, CR Coils, colour coated sheets from Korea and Japan) to India and Nepal. • Worked on tolling transactions of alumina with Indalco. • Established exports of grey yarn, engine blocks, and camshafts from India to Korea. • Worked with Daewoo Heavy Machinery Department to export excavators and forklift trucks though identifying a local partner, CNC machines through a local agent and as well as direct marketing to key projects like LML and automotive component units in Delhi/ Gurgaon. • Worked on key projects identified by corporate office. Identified partner for Daewoo Motors car project in India (only Indian involved in the core team) and assisted Daewoo Motors team in vendor development from 1993-1997. • Also worked on key group projects from positioning NBC equipment & joint submarine development to working on establishing Daewoo Power project in Korba and Daewoo Telecom office in India. Achieved an annual trading volume of U$90 million in 1998-99 based on steel and automotive products. Visited group manufacturing facilities for automobiles, electronics, machinery, ship building, facilities of Korean suppliers for related businesses spread over 5 different cities from 24-31 March, 1997. Mapped Dubai industry in July-September, 2008 and assisted with three inward buyer’s missions from India to Dubai in F&B, ICT, and Healthcare in a short span of 9 months.Worked with the following companies to identify representatives/ partners in India :• Rochester Institute of Technology : for sourcing students from India• Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management : for sourcing students from India• Etisalat Academy : for sourcing students from India• Lacnor (NFPC) : for supplying juices to India• Mammut Industries: joint venture partner for truck trailers• HKTC Tower Crane Co. of Korea : for supplying tower cranesIn addition, worked with DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) and CII Western Region and hosted a regional conference of leading companies from Western India, in Dubai, seeking to attract inward investment into DIFC as well as into the 24 Free Trade zones.
