  Varsity Mock Trial - Member, Officer, Social Media Manager, & Team Captain

  I was selected to be on the 2022-2023 Varsity Mock Trial team at Xavier College Preparatory during my freshman year and have continued to be a varsity member since. During my freshman year, my team placed 4th in our region and secured our spot as one of the best mock trial teams in Arizona at the state competition. I was the only non-senior mock trial team officer chosen at the end of my freshman year, and subsequently during my sophomore year, I became the captain of the XCP "East" Mock trial team, as well as the team public relator/social media manager. My work as the team social media manager has helped in quadrupling the number of mock trial team applicants during the 2023-2024 season. In mock trial, I have learned about the law, legal processes, and trial procedure, and have gained leadership skills, legal knowledge, and attorney skills.   I aid in social media and youth outreach for the candidates within this legislative district, specifically Eric Stafford for AZ Senate. During February-April 2024, I was an intern for the Legislative District 13 Democrats. In this role, I dedicate 8 hours a week doing community outreach, doing voter registration, gathering signatures for candidates, and attending LD 13 meetings and other events.

  I am a member of the LD25 democrats outreach council. In this role, I am responsible for recruiting over 3000 eligible youth voters to vote blue in the 2024 general election. I attend outreach council meetings, manage an Instagram page with 200+ followers, volunteer at LD25 events, and specifically manage youth outreach and involvement for the LD.

  Call4Kindness Fellow

  I was chosen as one out of 40 youth in the nation to be a fellow and grant recipient for the Riley's Way Call for Kindness Program. This program is highly competitive, and includes mentoring, nonprofit management education, and leadership training, as well as a $5000 grant, which I am using to kickstart HerGov. HerGov is nonpartisan initiative based in Arizona consisting of an online magazine and an in-person youth group. HerGov's goal is to get more teen girls engaged in local politics, and spark more interest in teen girls for going into public policy and politics later in life. Show less

  I was elected by over 40 commissioners to serve as the 2024-2025 City of Goodyear’s Youth Commission Vice-Chair. In this position, I take responsibility for leading meetings, filling in for the chair in her absence, and representing the City of Goodyear on a national level. I will be a representative of our city at the 2025 National League of Cities Conference in Washington DC! I also still serve on the civic engagement workgroup! I was chosen as one of the 23 new youth from the City of Goodyear to join the Goodyear Youth Commission. In this position, I will advocate for youth civic education opportunities, work with the various city committees on policy matters, and represent upwards of 20,000 youth in city government. I will be serving on the civic engagement workgroup!
