As a result standards in my schools increased from 67% of pupils achieving the UK average or above standard in 2001 to 80% in 2004 when the Warrington schools achieved the highest results in maths in the North of England.

  Very excited to be hosting NEAMC in 2017. Bringing together over 150 of the most able mathematics students across NE Asia for 3 days competing and learning together, individually and in team events. Planning an exciting Maths trail in Tokyo at the moment! If you would like to get involved I am still looking for a speaker to offer CPD to teachers and an inspirational talk to 150 students.   Teacher of International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Mathematics: Passionate about Mathematics learning, and have a proven track record of the successful development and implementation of the new curriculums. Developed resources for the Applications and Interpretations course some of which are now being used at other international schools. Mathematics is not just about the ability to acquire and retain knowledge, it is about developing logical thought processes, questioning, communicating, creative problem solving, inquiry and discovery. As course developer for the UWCSEA a mission aligned Grade 9/10 program, developing rich resources that give students the opportunity to dig deep into mathematical concepts and see how mathematics can be used to have a positive impact on their world. I believe that every student has the potential to achieve in Mathematics and as a leader of mathematics learning I develop an ethos that makes mathematics accessible, relevant and enjoyable for allNational Youth Achievement Award Coordinator: An essential aspect of the ‘whole person’ education is enriching the academic learning experience outside the classroom. I am the coordinator for this award which is Singapore’s equivalent of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Teacher facilitator for the Environmental Initiative ‘Trashion’: I promote student agency and have facilitated a group of students at UWCSEA to establish this group which aims to raise awareness of the impact of the fast fashion industry on society and the environment. Other student led clubs and societies I have supported in school are circus skills, mathematics enrichment for competition mathematics, cryptology club.
