  Worked in the Force Control Room progressing from a Call Handler to a Radio Operator.As a call-taker I would take 999 and 101 calls, obtaining the required information, grading incidents based on my assessment of the risk and resolving incidents over the phone or passing these to the Radio Operators for officers to be deployed.I then progressed and trained as a Dispatcher, assisting the Radio Operator by holding and making enquiries into deferred incidents, logging updates, mapping incidents and making calls.Finally, in addition to continuing to work in the previous two roles, I progressed to work as a Radio Operator, controlling Police deployments over a large geographic area, identifying and managing appropriate resources and deploying them to incidents.Committed to developing new staff, I qualified as a tutor and tutored new officers in all 3 roles during live incidents.
