  - Tracked and monitored social media trends (in apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Youtube, Quora) in Lebanon, Palestine and Syria regarding the social perception of LGBTQ+ individuals, women and women’s rights, refugees, and migrant workers (and especially the June 2022 crackdown on the LGBTQ+ community in Lebanon). - Tracked the situation of feminist activism in Sudan, interviewing feminist activists, groups, and initiatives, inquiring about their work, challenges and accomplishments. - Monitored the after effects of the Arab Spring regarding women’s rights, sexual rights, and domestic abuse in Sudan and Egypt. - Researched and drafted papers on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic (and its aftermath) on women’s rights, perception of LGBTQ+ individuals, migrant workers, refugees, and persons with disabilities. With special focus on gender-based violence (GBV), and the 1991 Sudanese Family Law. - Drafted summaries of meetings and talks conducted by the institute. Created social media content. - Wrote op-eds for Asfari’s affiliated groups, tacking the Kafala system in Lebanon, and overall structure of systemic sexism. Show less
