As the Athletic Director (AD) of the McColl athletic program, I generally oversee all aspects of an athletic program, including hiring coaches, scheduling, budget preparation, promotion, compliance, and facility management. Directly responsible for all aspects of boy's track and field programs, including: recruitment of quality student-athletes; practice and meet preparation; scheduling and budget management; hiring and supervising assistant coaching staff; adherence to all SCHSL and institutional policies. •Teaches courses in social studies, history, geography, American government, political science, or humanities to middle level pupils, utilizing core curriculum and other appropriate learning activities approved by the South Carolina Board of Education. In this position, my responsibilities are: goal setting, direction, and technique that the head coach expects from the secondary. Assist with defensive scouting report. Provide leadership, organization, supervision for all practices and varsity contests in conjunction with head coach. Encourage and create an atmosphere of sportsmanship, professionalism and respect among the football staff, coaches and student-athletes. As the Head Football Coach for the McColl football program, I coordinate and oversee practices with my coaches to prepare players for opponents through drills and team activities. Other duties include managing and instructing team members in an effort to win games, motivating football players before and during competitive events, and analyzing team strengths and weaknesses, while instituting game strategies based on such information with the assistance of my coaching staff.
