  As the Director of Development at Conner Prairie for 4 1/2 years, Jody was responsible for building the individual giving program at Conner Prairie including annual fund, major gifts, and planned giving. She grew individual donors by 50% over 4 years with a 95% donor retention rate. She developed systems and procedures to cultivate new prospects, stimulate Board giving, and strengthen Conner Prairie's donor recognition and stewardship practices and policies. She led the Membership department from 4,500 members to 7,000 members in 4 years. She also developed strategy and direction behind the development department's marketing and promotional campaigns for membership and donors. Jody had the privilege to serve as liaison to the Conner Prairie Alliance, the Horizon Council and numerous volunteers who without their unwavering dedication to Conner Prairie, this organization would not be the same.   As Executive Director of Indy Women in Tech (IWiT), I managed core aspects of the organization including workforce development, mentorship, STEM education and fundraising in support of Indiana's state-wide robotics initiative, IWiT's education and training scholarship program, Ignite Your Superpower! STEM day, and the Indy Women in Tech LPGA Championship. IWiT's mission is to inspire women and girls of all ages to pursue STEM related employment in Indiana by introducing them to experiences and career opportunities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as well as provide the necessary financial support, mentoring, training and education. Specifically, through strategic partnerships with allied organizations, IWiT provides scholarships to women to study and pursue careers in technology-related fields. I was honored to be IWiT's first Executive Director and to be a part of a growing organization dedicated to impacting the lives of women through STEM. Together, we made a significant difference throughout Indiana in the tech sector by raising awareness of the need for women in the tech industry and supporting them as they embark on this pursuit. I am so proud of the students that we impacted and their achievements. This was an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference and impact the community and state that I love. Show less
