  Responsible for leading the Los Angeles chapter of the national Minds Matter organization. Minds Matter transforms the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for success in college and life. We are an academic tutoring and mentoring program for highly motivated, low-income students. The organization is powered by over 160 volunteers, we serve over 60 students in our 3-year program and support over 65 students in college. Our students come from high schools across Los Angeles and most are the first in their families to attend college. As far as our results, 100% of our graduates attend a 4 year college, with 76% graduating from college in 4 years, 92% in 5 years.
