  Teaching a total of four courses; one online and three face-to-face. One of the courses is called Images of America and explores pivotal artists, artistic movements, and artworks in the US as well as popular ubiquitous American images, which sometimes are problematic stereotypes of specific groups of people (whether it is race, gender etc...). The other course is called Prehistory to Medieval Art and looks at art history from around 40,000 BCE until Late Medieval Europe. The final course that I taught is titled Renaissance to Contemporary and is an art historical overview starting from the fourteenth century until nowadays. These are lecture-based classes with group discussions, individual activities and assessments as well as a final exam and presentations. Show less

  Teaching a total of four courses, two online asynchronous and two face-to-face. One course is an art historical survey of Western art from the Renaissance to contemporary times and the second one revolves around art and politics. The latter explores how art is used to promote a political agenda either through propagandistic methods (for example by using political billboards) or through contemporary expressions such as artworks reflecting on social justice issues.
