  Developed robotic platform to teach students about automatic control systems. Used NXP FRDM-K22F microcontroller development board with mBed ecosystem and mBed-RTOS. Wrote own drivers for accelerometer, quadrature encoders, Bluetooth communications, and H-bridge driver. Used parametric CAD w/ 3d printing to design and implement chassis to house system. Designed and implemented interface between PC and embedded system to wirelessly capture, plot, and log data in real-time.

  During my time as an electronics engineer at OPEX, I designed several boards used inside warehouse automation robots, including a field-replaceable step-down DC-DC converter board as well as a novel robot braking system based on the principle of dynamic braking. I was also on a research project to enhance the capabilities of robots to operate in harsh environmental conditions.

  I have had the pleasure of working in ExxonMobil's Research and Engineering Company, where for the past three years, I led a research project to realize the control of industrial processes using computer vision. In this role, I developed deep neural networks as a novel method of deriving measurements from images & videos of industrial processes. Thereafter, I implemented such models in a containerized, microservices-based full-stack application featuring real-time predictions. As a result of our efforts, we filed U.S. Patent Application No. 17/126151 "SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MONITORING AND CONTROLLING AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS" and have been featured in several external communications.
