  Supervised and planned fun and safe activities for children ages 7 to 15 at an outdoor based Summer Camp. Most of my work was done on a ropes and challenge course, focusing on team building and safely stepping out of your comfort zone. Also a certified lifeguard during this time and often responsible for the safety of the children while in the water.

  As assistant pool manager for the Kiawah Island Beach Club, I have a wide range of responsibilities first and foremost being the happiness and enjoyment of our members. More specifically I help schedule our 25 to 30 pool attendants at various stations around our three pools and on our beach during the day, so we have proper coverage for our members. It is a delicate balancing act learning which members of staff work best together and how each individual's strengths can be utilized into a team effort to maximize the enjoyment of our guests. I also help to run and operate the pools to ensure that all filters and pumps are properly working, and the chemical levels of our three pools are up to the standards of the Department of Health and Environmental Control. During my time in this role I have also taken on some of the administrative responsibilities of running a department such placing orders with vendors, filing check requests, and assisting with the payroll. During the day I am constantly communicating between our members and guests, pool staff, and the food and beverage staff of The Beach Club to ensure all members and guests, as well as our whole staff is well taken care of. During this time I earned an award for employee of the quarter for the Kiawah Partners for the Fall quarter of 2015. Show less As a pool attendant for the Kiawah Island Beach Club my number one job was to see that our members and guests and an enjoyable and relaxing experience with us. My specific responsibilities included setting up and breaking down our beach at the beginning and end of each day. During the main Summer months of June, July, and August, this consisted two to three hundred chairs and seventy-five to one-hundred-fifty umbrellas each day. During the day as a pool attendant I carried towels and lead members and guests to their seats around one of our three pools and our beach, and helping our members with anything else they may need during their stay with us.   As lead bartender at the Marsh House, it is my job to to fulfill all beverage orders during our hours of operation. I use effective time management and communication, to efficiently complete, all orders for our members and guests who walk up to the bar, while also completing all orders rung in by our servers for their tables and around our pool deck. I maintain knowledge of beers, wines, and cocktails, and assist our members and guests in selecting the perfect beverage for them based upon taste preference. I also use my knowledge to create new and exciting beverages for our specialty cocktail menu. I serve efficiently and responsibly; ensuring my bar is always stocked, clean, and meets all laws and health department requirements. Out side of alcoholic beverages I make fun and exciting "mocktails" and smoothies for those who are not of legal age or do not wish to consume alcohol. Continually I must also have full knowledge of our food menu, as it is my responsibility to to orders and serve all members and guests who walk up to the bar and wish to place a food order. Also in the category of food, it is my duty in the evenings to create delicious and beautiful appetizer plates for members and guests who wish to eat. It is also my responsibility to thoroughly clean the kitchen and bar at the end of the evening, as well as lock and alarm the clubhouse before departing.   As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, I am responsible for all front of house food and beverage, and pool staff in a private club setting. I was charged with creating and implementing our beverage program and specialty cocktail list. I interview, hire, and train all front of house staff to provide the highest quality service with the goal to be the finest private club in the world. I support our front line staff to facilitate them in serving all guest needs, as well as support them and their growth professionally. I am my department's designated trainer as such I have created and implemented orientation and training programs for our staff to help them grow in any area they may be interested in. Including sending staff to outside seminars to provide additional knowledge and skills, they can bring back and share with the team. I resolve all guest issues in a timely manner, supporting and coaching staff whenever needed. Keeping everyone on the same goal, to be the finest private club in the world. I make sure our staff has all the tools they need to be successful in giving our guests the highest quality service. I create schedules to manage staff hours and make sure no one feels overworked, or worn down.I am responsible for the ordering and inventory of all beverage and paper goods, including but not limited to all alcoholic beverages, mixers, coffee and tea products, sodas, bar produce, silverware, cups, and napkins. This is done with the charge to budget effective and maintain efficient beverage costs. Additionally I ensure all beverage is served within a safe and clean environment, maintaining our A rating from the Health Department, and complying with all state and federal liquor laws.I am also my facility's certified pool operator, in charge of the ordering and adding of pool chemicals.
