Senior manager within the University's Accommodation & Hospitality Services department (ahs), responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day operation of The Edge at the University of Bath, a multi-stakeholder venue with a focus on arts activities and student use, but also academic teaching, widening participation and public engagement programmes that engage with the wider University community as well as audiences in the Bath area. I managed the building operations team who co-ordinated with stakeholder groups, users and audiences to ensure a high quality visitor and user experience. I also developed strategies for delivering a financially sustainable business model for The Edge, maximising commercial opportunities through a clear planning process that feeds into the overall vision for the building in line with University objectives. Show less Responsible for the strategic direction and financial management of ICIA, overseeing the administration, box office and marketing teams and an events programme that included professional performances in contemporary theatre, dance, music and visual arts, student productions, exhibitions, conferences and symposia. A large part of the role worked towards the development and delivery of the University's arts and management centre capital project, now The Edge, which opened in February 2015. This included working extensively with internal stakeholders and external Design Team members to ensure the building was fit-for-purpose, as well as leading the ICIA team through a period of significant organisational change in preparation for managing the new venue. I represented ICIA on the University's Equality & Diversity Network, which I chaired in 2013, and was the group's representative on the Equality & Diversity Committee, which formulates and oversees the implementation of University-wide policies relating to the promotion of equality of opportunity.
