      A senior role reporting into the Investment Director and Group Finance Director within Royal Mail. Responsible for leading a wide variety of strategic and change related projects covering the whole spectrum of corporate development. Projects included, amongst others: Financial Joint Venture with anticipated profit of £1bn over 10 years and initial start up capital of £125m. My role involved leading the commercial team (lawyers, tax and VAT advisors, investment bankers and business operators), negotiations, business case overview, advising and presenting the proposal to the PLC Board as well as the shareholder (the DTI and HMT).Acquisition of 20% shareholding in Camelot the UK lottery provider along with UK retail supply contract. Led an outsourcing project to save some £35m pa of operational cost and deliver service improvements across all measures. Lead negotiator for renewal of outsourced catering contract across all businesses. Leading the acquisition and disposal of international businesses. This included valuation, business case, due diligence, negotiations and presentations to PLC Board. Principal negotiator on a complex tri-partite global joint venture with a T/O of £450m, also responsible for due diligence, valuation, business case and PLC Board and DTI/HMT presentations.
