      I am responsible for the budget management and financial planning of The REME Charity in conjunction with the CEO and Trustees, in particular the Charity Finance and Investment Committee. Managing and leading a multi-disciplined team ensuring the objectives of The REME Charity are realised and met, I am required to work effectively across the private and public sector building effective relationships that are of benefit to both the MOD and The REME Charity. • Redesigned the REME Charity budget and financial forecast showing a realistic Income and Expenditure, balancing the budget for the first time. Introduced additional management report methods allowing the Trustees understand the cash flow demands on the charity and plan accordingly. Assisting the finance team through the annual audit. • Introduced key fundraising equipment for the charity including fully regulated charity buckets, a contactless donations card system and other fundraising material. Redeveloped and promoted the use of the Charity’s Virgin Money Giving fundraising page which has had increased donations every year. • Administrator and functional management of all REME Charity financial accounts, responsible for ensuring all signatories and regulatory measures are accurate. Delegated financial authority of £10,000 per transaction. Assist with the administration and internal management of the REME Charity’s Investment portfolio.• HR Manager for c. 20 charitable employees, responsible for delivering contracts, advising the board of Trustees on appropriate salary ranges, discipline and leave and recruitment and interviewing where required. Applied for and awarded the Silver Armed Forces Covenant Employee Recognition Scheme. • Provides secretarial function to the REME Charity Trustees, Finance and Investment Committee and the REME Association meetings. Responsible for the civilian personnel move from Berkshire to Wiltshire under the Defence Technical Training Change Programme. • Information Manager and Data Protection Officer for the Headquarters, introduced a new fully compliant Information Management Policy and provided data protection training to personnel who were responsible for data within the team in accordance with MOD policy.• Installed a Local Area Network (LAN) for those personnel who could not operate from the MOD provided system. Replaced 5 standalone, unprotected computer terminals with 12 secure, networked PCs with a robust support contract.• HR focal point for all civil servants within Regimental Headquarters, responsible for the management of the internal rewards programme, advising on policy, managing performance and staff reports and liaising with Army Headquarters HR Business Partners and Trade Union Representatives when required. • Financial management for all travel and office equipment within the department, ensuring we remained under the financial budget set by our higher-level department. Show less I was responsible for providing administrative and information support to the Defence School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. • Assisted the movement of the schools in Arborfield and Bordon from old Local Area Networks to the MOD DII(F) network in preparation for the move to Lyneham. Created over 800 DII accounts and email addresses and reorganised all data to ensure swift and effective transfer without losing any capability. • Responsible for completing a full security review on all civilian personnel within the garrison, acting as a security sponsor for those who required full SC Clearance. • Responsible for creating and distributing all security and car passes for the garrison and liaising with the MPGS regarding site security and authorised site visitors. Responsible for maintaining heightened security protocols for the secure compound on site.• Responsible for providing excellent administrative support to the Commandant and senior staff at 11 (Training) Battalion.
