Committee on Natural Resources - Served as lead Committee Staff for energy policy, primarily oil and gas, and assisted Deputy Committee Director with water policy.- Conducted dialogue with stakeholders, staff, state agencies, and industry representatives to draft legislation and negotiate agreement on contested legislative issues, including hydraulic fracturing fluid disclosure and the State energy plan.- Conducted research and provided analysis to Senators on bills in committee, prepared briefing documents on content, impact, and potential effects of legislation, and composed talking points.Committee on Business and Commerce - Lead Committee Staff for economic development, unemployment, and real estate policy and assisted Committee Director with electricity issues, including electricity markets and grid reliability.- Liaised with stakeholders and built relationships with local, regional, and state entities and agencies, including the Public Utility Commission and Electric Reliability Council of Texas to track electricity sector developments.- Organized committee hearings, recorded proceedings, and registered witnesses.- Maintained committee records and liaised with the Secretary of Senate’s Office on bills in committee and legislative documents.
