  My duties, roles and responsibilities is to input an electronic, written prescription, or refill request into computer system. Make sure all information on the prescription is accurate, by interpreting the doctors’ medication order and ensuring it has been completed correctly. Retrieve the correct medication for counting, pouring weighing and measuring as detailed on the prescription. Once I have prepared the medication the next step is to appropriately package the medication, prepare prescription labels’ and information about the prescribed medication for the to patient read. I update inventory records, prepare any medical insurance claims and after the prescription is filled, I then prepare the prescription to be reviewed by a licensed pharmacist. I also order medications from supplier, inventory control, manage and train other technician. Show less
