      Part of the Pilot Recruitment team responsible for assessing candidates applying for ab-initio training through to experienced Direct Entry Pilots.Included conducting and assessing group exercises, face to face interviews and delivering briefings on the benefits and package available from British Airways as a pilot employee. Also mentoring new pilot selectors and working with external HR professionals.A later role within the recruitment team included conducting simulator assessments. This included briefing candidates on flying the specific aircraft type (B767 & B747-400), conducting an initial training package in the simulator and then running the assessment flight profile and preparing the evaluation report.       In this mentorship role, I work closely with school students to help them explore the dynamic world of STEM, with a focus on real-world applications in aerospace and engineering. Drawing from my experiences in the industry, I share insights into the challenges and innovations shaping these fields, guiding students to see how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics come together to address some of the world’s most exciting challenges.My mentorship sessions are designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration of career pathways, providing students with both foundational knowledge and an understanding of the advanced topics that drive aerospace technology and engineering solutions today. By introducing students to the wide range of career paths in aerospace and engineering, from research and design to data analytics and project management, I help them identify potential pathways that align with their interests and strengths. Through this mentorship, I hope to cultivate both their technical skills and their confidence in pursuing careers in STEM fields, ultimately empowering them to contribute to the future of technology and innovation.
