  Activities and Societies: Member of DMEM society, Strathclyde Ski Club, Strathclyde Shell Eco Marathon team and IMechE and IED member Within this course, I study a wide range of content covering multiple disciplines surrounding the design and manufacture of a product. As a result, I am able to use my problem solving skills to find innovative solutions to given problems. Particular emphasis is put on the use of CAD/CAM technologies and the use of rapid prototyping techniques in addition to other production techniques. This combined knowledge is constantly put to the test in hands on group projects during which we must design, prototype, manufacture and market our products as part of a team and present our work to university staff on completion. From these projects I have gained skills in leadership and team work as a result of working as a team. In addition, I have excellent oral and written communication skills as promoting our product on completion is paramount to its success. Show less

Subjects taken: Materials Science and Technology, Deformation & Fracture, Simulation of Production SystemsI completed one semester studying abroad in Lulea, Sweden as part of the Erasmus program.
