      Aug 2012 - Jan 2018
      Sales Associate

"Sales Associate" as a job title, does not do the position justice as to what had to be done on a daily basis. Throughout my tenure at Pinzones, the management encouraged me to learn more about the industry and acquire more skills to differentiate myself as an employee. On an average day, I would open up the stand at 6:00 AM (we operated as a vendor within a greater food market) and set every product up in the display counter, taking note of items that needed to be restocked. Throughout the day, I would help dozens of customers with their food needs and answer every question that I could regarding the quality, taste, and price of our products.I worked with a group of two to five other employees in the stand at a time, facilitating a team mentality when operating. In my five years of employment, I occasionally found inefficiencies in some of our traditional ways of operating and brought my concerns up with my boss, Tony. In time, I was able to convince him to change some aspects of operations to improve workflow and I also helped the other employees (especially the older ones who had been working for longer than I had been alive) integrate the new strategies. • The Souper Market

      Sept 2014 - Dec 2016
      Assistant Manager

My job at The Souper Market was to facilitate a sensory experience to better attract and retain customers for the business. I was tasked with keeping full levels of food items such as soup, bread, and salad mix ready throughout my shift, along with keeping supplementary items like silverware and cooking ware stocked as well. Helping customers decide what items to get based on allergies, taste, and other preferences were my primary tasks however: making a wholesome experience from the point of them entering our building to them walking out through whatever means necessary. I worked in this facility alone virtually every time I was on duty, which was occasionally overwhelming in our peak months of operations, but I always was able to successfully help everyone with their needs. I also dabbled in our supply chain, noting how much product we had in-house and then proceeded to order whatever amount I deemed necessary for the amount of demand our products had at the time. • Ohio University Emerging Leaders

      May 2018 - May 2020

As a peer mentor for the Emerging Leaders Program, I am responsible for assisting the new class of Leaders through their development. This consists of having a group of mentees that I have personal relationships with and check in often with to make sure that their development is going well. I also, along with the other peer mentors, lead some lessons with the group over certain leadership competencies or professional opportunities. I was also chosen as the head peer mentor which has some extra responsibilities. Acting as a liaison between the director of the program and the peer mentors is one of my primary functions. I also keep constant communication with the program's president to assist in any logistical issues or to give advice. Show less As one of the two Co-Vice President's of Recruitment, I was tasked with working with my fellow co-head to create a recruitment plan for the Spring semester. We ended up overhauling the process which included creating sheets to track prospective candidates, creating analytical grading matrixes for applicants, updating and digitalizing the application, and automating emails to name a few aspects. We also used common tactics like information sessions, tabling, and presentations in our "word-of-mouth" campaign. After all of this work, we ended up increasing recruitment numbers by 25% compared to the year prior. Show less

    • Alliance Industrial Solutions

      May 2018 - Jan 2019
      Sales Coordinator

At Alliance Industrial Solutions, I filled a role that was previously non-existent. I was a part of the close-knit team of Client Development personnel whose purpose was to provide high-quality service from the first meeting with a prospect through to the continued service of them as a client. My role consisted of three main tasks:1. Sales: I would spend time going through in-house data sheets our company had compiled of possible prospects and pick out several that met our criteria. I then would carry out dozens of prospecting phone calls to determine whether or not we could provide value to any of these possible clients with our services.2. Analytics: In my opinion, where I brought the most value was in the analytical insights I was able to give my team and the company as a whole. These tasks ranged from small operational funnels to massive statistical sheets that really allowed us to gauge information about our business that we had never been able to up to that point.3. Maintenance: With the creation of some of these analytical sheets that track ongoing metrics, it was and still is necessary to continually maintain them. This was a task delegated to me since I had created the workflows and sheets originally, which allowed me to update them as needed as well as automate them as much as possible. These were the main roles that I served at Alliance Industrial and where I provided my value not only to the clients but also to my team within the company. Show less

    • Alpha Kappa Psi

      Dec 2018 - Dec 2019
      Vice President Of Membership

As the Vice President of Membership, my main area of concern in the fraternity is the members. I break down my main functions into three main areas of focus:1. Members: The active members of the fraternity and their issues are my primary concern as the VP of Membership. Usually, this amounts to always being available for the members should they need me for any personal or fraternity-related problems. I also am tasked with tracking the active engagement of the members and so I created a holistic sheet to track statistics on fraternity-wide and individual involvement. Should a member be falling behind, I have a one-on-one conversation on anything that is keeping them from being involved and create an action plan for future involvement.2. Pledges: Along with the pledge educator, I assist the 15+ pledges per semester with their 8-week pledging process. Mostly encouraging them to achieve their goals, hit their requirements, and get ingrained within the culture of the fraternity. I also have created several tracking sheets to streamline the pledging process for not only the pledges but also for the pledge educator and myself.3. Executive Board: The last main responsibility I have is being apart of the executive board of the fraternity. With this comes its own set of responsibilities on top of the position-specific ones. All of the board coordinates large events for the fraternity, communicates with the national body of Alpha Kappa Psi, and minimizes internal issues that arise within the fraternity. Show less

    • Hyland

      May 2019 - Dec 2019

As a business analyst at Hyland, my main role was to assist any internal business unit/department with changes that involved information systems. Some functions that were done in this role were leading discovery meetings, cleaning and analyzing data, and leaning out internal processes. Over the summer, I was a part of an IS team tasked with implementing an agile software solution for the entire R&D department of Hyland. In the timeframe of 3 months, we were able to successfully migrate 11 teams over to the new solution which led to better software issue tracking and project management within the teams. Show less
