As a tour guide I was an ambassador for the University of Otago. I was often the first person spoken to on campus, the role is to provide positive reinforcement about studying at the University. I had to adapt to each group, answer questions honestly. Group sizes would range from one student to twenty in a group. The role of this position was to ensure that on completion of the tour the students and families were comfortable and happy in adding the University of Otago as a potential place to study. Show less Part of the teaching team that taught a first year paper in the department of Information Science. The Paper, BSNS106, was/is part of the core curriculum in the BCom at the University of Otago thus every BCom student had to study this paper. I was involved in the compyter lab side of the paper. This involved delivering a quick presentation on the work that would be covered in the lab that session, then monitoring and ensuring students understood the tasks at hand. Lab groups ranged from 20 students to 60, with multiple sesisons a week. There was also a grading component to this paper. Show less
