      I add this somewhat tongue-in-cheek: during college, I worked on cars and motorcycles for friends and acquaintances, perhaps more than I worked on my formal studies. For better or worse, the dye was cast and I got to run a (very) small business. My partner was a friend who shared my entrepreneurial and mechanical interest, and together we encountered not only technical conundrums, but also demanding customers and cash-management challenges. So while I could have made more of my college studies, I probably created a more effective business-study practicum than I would have received from class-work. Show less
