      Primary duties:- Recruiting foster parents in Western Maryland to foster juveniles who have had contact with the juvenile justice system and must be removed from their homes for various reasons.- Completing the Home Study on all potential foster parents utilizing the Structured Analysis Family Evaluation ( SAFE) model.- Assist foster parents in obtaining all necessary training they are required to have and providing training as needed.- Monitor homes on a monthly basis to ensure homes remain in compliance with State requirements.- Approval of monthly expenditures for foster parents.- Respond to crises as needed in the individual foster homes.- Assist with treatment planning for juveniles.- Assisted with policy development for the Foster Care Program that was approved and in the current policy pertaining to foster homes.Secondary duties: -Victim Liaison for Washington and Frederick County Maryland. - Comply with all requirements necessary to notify victims of juvenile crime in accordance with the Crime Victim Notification Request and Demands for Rights Form. - Maintain monthly log of all current cases requiring notification. - Resource Unit Assistance - Assists with additional duties/ back up coverage in the Washington County Office as needed. Show less January 2003 to May 1996: Developed a community service program for juveniles in Frederick County. Duties involved recruiting sites that would be willing to work with and monitor juvenile community service participants. Monitored youths hours and reporting compliance or non-compliance with requirements to probation officers.February 1997 to January January 2003: Provided probation and aftercare services for youth in the juvenile justice system in Frederick County, Maryland. Duties involved treatment planning, writing social history/predisposition reports; Appearing in court and testifying as required. Secondary duties involved developing and implementing groups for delinquent females to avoid further involvement in the juvenile justice system. Facilitated a shoplifting prevention group for first time offenders.October 1996- February 1997: Provided community detention services via electronic monitoring to youth detained in the community as an alternative to detention in a juvenile facility. Responded to all necessary crisis and violations of electronic monitoring. Show less
