  As a project-based landman, I often found myself and my peers needing flexible and sophisticated software to augment our document processing and information-wrangling tasks. Along with a small group of visionary entrepreneurs, I built a framework that would leverage emerging cheap computing power and clever algorithms to provide an intelligent document processing platform, streamlining our workload and increasing service quality. After a few years of testing and iteration by a very talented software engineering team, we rolled out our tool to the general market for feedback. We have since been able to provide intelligent document processing assistance to land, legal, and healthcare professionals on an ever-increasing scale. Pecos Solutions is a Texas-based traditional and renewable energy software company targeting unstructured public records and intra-company contract data management. Machine learning, web development, and information retrieval are a few of the technologies we leverage to provide our customers with streamlined review and analysis of contracts, agreements, and real property records.   As Director of Exploration, I lead a talented, multidisciplinary team responsible for generating, screening, and participating in projects that meet rigorous exploration initiative requirements. Resulting discoveries have laid the groundwork for future development opportunities and significant divestitures, with several play extensions and upside acceleration programs currently under validation. My team’s efforts have strengthened our project portfolio and provided strong returns for investors, reinforcing our reputation as a trustworthy and technically competent capital steward. In this role, I’ve had the opportunity to structure and coordinate financing for various stages of project development, ranging from private debt and equity-funded wildcat exploration to low-risk partnerships targeting PDP assets with upside development potential. My team has appraised opportunities surpassing $1B, limiting our participation to projects providing the highest quality returns to our partners. Show less As Land Manager, I oversaw the company's land assets, focusing on the strategic acquisition and management of acreage critical to our drilling program. I worked with talented professionals to review investment opportunities and make capital deployment recommendations that satisfied our portfolio objectives. We proposed, assembled, and successfully developed projects that met private debt and equity risk criteria, securing over $40MM in funding from diverse sources. In this role, I had the opportunity to present a concept for a new hybrid project funding structure to our senior management, which was well-received. I led the development of this new business unit, establishing the necessary funding and partnerships to bring this structure to life. While in this position, I was fortunate to play a part in advancing our land management processes by integrating an innovative public records document processing platform.
