  Event Intern

  During my time as the Event Intern for Advocate BroMenn, I worked directly with/for Young Hearts for Life (YH4L). YH4L is a cardiac screening program that is hosted at local jr/high schools. Through the use of EKG's, the screenings are used to detect any conditions that may lead to Sudden Cardiac Death. On a weekly basis, I had constant communication with the school officials, volunteers, and students/parents before and after each events. Before each screening, I was responsible for entering and organizing the personal files of each student in our database. I assisted with each training, preparing the volunteers to perform a proper screenings, as well as setting up/breaking down the equipment needed. After each screening, I entered the results of each EKG and answered questions regarding the screenings. Throughout the semester, I was able to design flyers and information pamphlets to promote the events that were hosted.
