In this USAID-funded $28 million USAID funded project, I provided technical assistance to the MOE, focusing on 3 components: curriculum development, teacher training, and community mobilization. Responsible for supervising and coordinating all curriculum development and teacher training technical assistance provided through the Ministry of Education. Assisted the MOE in the development of a new national basic education curriculum and a new teacher training policy model. The new curriculum introduced national languages as a medium of instruction in early grades and a new literacy-based instructional approach. Provided technical assistance in the development of all curricular materials, including teacher guides, textbooks, teacher training programs and literacy assessment instruments. Show less
